Web editing programs

Well, to be honest you don't really need a web editing program; it is possible to hand code the HTML (HyperText Markup Language), but you'll have to be an expert in HTML to hand code, so for all practical purposes a web editing program is a must.

There are many web editing programs to choose from, and the best known are Microsoft's FrontPage and Macromedia's Dreamweaver.

Of these most people find FrontPage easier to use, but professional web builders will no doubt prefer Dreamweaver, as this program has all the bells and whistles you can imagine.

Both FrontPage and Dreamweaver have recently come up with new and improved versions.

You can register (free!) and download a free trial version of Dreamweaver. The program will work for 30 days.

Adobe's web editing program is called "GoLive", and is much loved by some.

Web weaver is a very good web editing program that will help you create professional, eye-catching web pages. It runs on all Windows platforms - Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP, and costs less than US$30!

If you want to search the net you will find many free editing programs. Some of them are quite good, while others are - well - a bit more challenging...
Search for "free web editing programs" in everyone's favorite directory ( www.google.com ).
